Question by christine w: why does the hosta leaves dry up and turn yellow?
I know a lot about flowers,have worked in greenhouse for 20 yrs, but this one i cant figure out.I water well,I know they are heavy feeders,I spray them.They are in the shade.I live in South Georgia.I have this problem every summer.

You *could* grow something else there.
My guess is that they are just too hot.

    Christine, what zone are you in? I am in Dallas its gets very hot here. I use an irrigation system and and its timed to run one hour at 6AM and 6PM. Christine who said Hostas are heavy feeders? Hostas don’t need anything but halfway decent soil. What are you spraying on them?
