    Deer love hosta so that’s going to be tough. You can put some cheap fencing around them or use hot pepper wax and coat the leaves. Depending on the herd..the hot pepper wax may not be useful.

    Seriously, there are only two things that will deter deer from garden or yard plants. One is to build a fence at least six feet high around said garden or yard. The other consists of administering to each animal a pill containing at least 6,500 milligrams of lead.
