Question by tpv47: Can anyone tell me what kind of plant this is?
Pictures: http://webpages.charter.net/tpv1/tompage/mysteryplant.htm
The ribbed leaves make It look like a hosta, but I don’t think it is. Hosta leaves are more heart-shaped, and these are spear-like…about 1″ wide 2″ long. Plus these don’t have several stems growing out of the middle, but spread around…like a ground cover. This little patch comes up every year. Any ideas?
Thanks!

oh my gosh that is a nice webpage. and no idk but there ARE online plant identifiers. like input known traits to the key and it outputs whatever candidates in it’s database that match. also there are discussion forums expressly for identification. and if u have no luck with any of that then ur state plant ID team is prolly wanting to see it in case it is an invasive or new.
local ag extension offices:
http://www.csrees.usda.gov/Extension/index.html
they can also be ok to get grow or special info from like pest outbreaks and such
