Question by larry l: how do you split hosta plants?
Read answers:
Answer by b9e5d1
Take a good sharp shovel and go down the edges hard. It’s easier to do when they are just coming out of the ground, but can be done any time. The bigger the hosta at the time of splitting, the harder it will be to dig. Have done them both ways, and believe me, mucho easier when the shoots are just coming out of the ground.
